Kollywood sports drama Lubber Pandhu was a massive hit at the ticket windows. The film, headlined by Harish Kalyan and VR Dinesh, won the hearts of the audience with its adorable content despite severe competition and earned over Rs. 40 crores gross. Directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, the film also stars Swasika, Sanjana, and Kaali Venkat in key roles.
For some time, there have been speculations that Lubber Pandhu will be remade in Telugu with Rajasekhar reprising VR Dinesh’s role. The latest buzz suggests that Ramya Krishna, Shivani Rajasekhar, and Viswadev (35 fame) will reprise the roles of Swasika, Sanjana, and Harish Kalyan, respectively.
An official confirmation is yet to be made. Interestingly, the Telugu dubbed version of Lubber Pandhu is now available for streaming on Jio Hotstar alongside the original version. Will the Telugu remake actually happen, or is it just a baseless speculation? Let’s wait and see.
