The 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-East Asia and Pacific (EAP) Qualifier is still underway, but two of the three teams that’ll move on have been confirmed. After the United Arab Emirates (UAE) beat Samoa earlier today at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground, Oman and Nepal have qualified for the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
Oman and Nepal haven’t faced off yet, but have beaten the three opponents they have faced in the Asia-EAP Qualifier so far. Despite two matches remaining for both teams, mathematically, they can’t finish outside of the top three. Therefore, both have qualified for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Earlier in the month, Zimbabwe and Namibia had qualified for the tournament from the 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier.

As things stand, the UAE, Japan, and Qatar are still in the mix to qualify as well. The UAE has lost to both Nepal and Oman in the Super Six stage of the Asia-EAP Qualifier, but is placed third with a win over Samoa. Japan is fourth with matches against the UAE and Oman left. Qatar have the toughest chance since they need to beat Samoa and then hope for the other two teams to fail.
