Nikhil’s Pan-India Epic Swayambhu Locks Massive Maha Shivaratri Release

Nikhil, who created a nationwide sensation with the Pan-India blockbuster Karthikeya 2, is now gearing up to return to the big screen with his most ambitious project yet—Swayambhu. Produced on a huge scale by Pixel Studios and directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, this grand historical action drama aims to offer a spectacular cinematic experience to audiences across the country.
The team officially announced that the film has completed its shoot after an intense two-year journey. With nearly 170 days of extensive filming, massive sets built across acres, and a huge production effort, Swayambhu has emerged as one of the biggest projects in Nikhil’s career. The makers confirmed that the film will have a massive theatrical release worldwide on February 13, 2026, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri.
In a special video titled Rise Of Swayambhu, Nikhil shared his emotional and thrilling journey while working on this epic. What started as a single film soon expanded into a large cinematic universe, filled with rich world-building and stunning visuals. Nikhil revealed that he underwent a complete physical makeover and intense training to portray a fierce and powerful warrior. He also introduced his horse, Maruthi, who plays an important part in the film. To make the experience more authentic for Hindi audiences, Nikhil dubbed his own voice for the Hindi version as well.
