NTR Launches Simbu–Vetrimaaran’s ‘Saamrajyam’ Teaser

‘Man of Masses’ NTR unveiled the Telugu teaser of Saamrajyam, the upcoming film starring actor Simbu and directed by Vetrimaaran. The movie is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the banner of V Creations, with music by Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. The film’s Tamil title is Arasan, while the Telugu version is titled Saamrajyam.
Sharing the teaser on social media, NTR praised Simbu and the team, saying, “Simbu’s best is yet to come, and no one can bring it out better than Vetrimaaran.”
Unlike regular 2–3 minute teasers, this promo runs for over 5 minutes. It starts with Anirudh’s powerful background score, followed by a scene featuring Tamil director Nelson Dilipkumar outside a court. Simbu’s character narrates a gripping real-life story and says, “Sir, everything I tell you is real — the people, the town, the events. But still, you must add a line saying it’s all fictional.”
The teaser then moves to a courtroom sequence where Simbu plays a man accused in a triple murder case, pleading his innocence. He appears in two different looks — one older with a greying beard in court and another younger in flashbacks.
Vetrimaaran, known for his critically acclaimed film Vada Chennai, ends the promo with the line, “A story never told in the world of Vada Chennai.”
Saamrajyam is being released in Telugu in association with Suresh Productions. The first shooting schedule is completed, and the second schedule will begin soon.
