NTR’s Dragon Shoot Paused – Not Due to Clash, But Because of Injury!

The much-awaited film Dragon, starring Jr NTR and directed by KGF and Salaar fame Prashanth Neel, has been in the spotlight again – this time because of rumors about a supposed clash between the hero and the director. However, reliable sources confirm that there’s no truth to those reports. The real reason behind the temporary halt in the film’s shoot is NTR’s injury.
According to inside talk, the team completed nearly 20 days of shooting before the schedule was paused. Initially, NTR was supposed to shoot for a few more days, but during a commercial ad shoot, he suffered a rib injury. As a result, doctors advised him to rest, and the filming break was extended. So, the shoot didn’t stop because of creative differences — it was purely a health-related delay.
Director Prashanth Neel, known for his massive, high-voltage action films, follows a unique working style. After each schedule, he reviews the footage carefully and plans the next schedule accordingly. This time, the next schedule is being pushed slightly forward to allow NTR to recover fully before continuing with the physically demanding action sequences.
Fans got a glimpse of NTR’s condition during the Kantara Chapter 1 pre-release event in Hyderabad, where he appeared despite the injury. Reports say he is recovering well and eager to get back to work soon.
The Dragon shoot is expected to resume by the last week of October or early November. Once restarted, the makers plan to complete the film without further major breaks. The movie features Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead and is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers’ Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili. Music is composed by Ravi Basrur, promising another power-packed soundtrack.
With the combined power of NTR’s stardom and Prashanth Neel’s vision, Dragon is shaping up to be one of the biggest Pan-India films to watch out for in 2025.
