Filmmaker Prasanth Varma has issued a strong statement condemning what he described as “motivated and irresponsible” media reports about his ongoing dispute with PrimeShow Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The director expressed disappointment that certain media portals, news channels, and social media pages had published the complaint filed by PrimeShow Entertainment along with selective excerpts of his reply, calling it a one-sided and incomplete portrayal of the issue.
Prasanth clarified that the dispute between him and PrimeShow Entertainment is currently under consideration before the Telugu Film Chamber and the Telugu Film Directors’ Association, making it a sub-judice matter. He emphasized that once a case is before an official industry forum for adjudication or conciliation, all parties involved must respect the process and allow the forum to complete its work instead of conducting a media trial.
The filmmaker stated that publishing internal documents, agreements, emails, or financial details during this phase amounts to interference and could influence public opinion unfairly. “All allegations made against me are false, baseless, and retaliatory,” Prasanth said firmly.
He appealed to all media houses, digital platforms, and social media channels to refrain from publishing speculative or incomplete content regarding this issue and urged them to wait for the official outcome of the proceedings before the Telugu Film Chamber.
