Janhvi Kapoor was part of Karan Johar’s Homebound, which is India’s official entry to the Oscars this year. The movie, which also stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jetwal, is receiving praise from all corners. But do you know Janhvi Kapoor didn’t charge remuneration for this flick directed by Neeraj Ghaywan?
Somen Mishra, producer at Dharma Productions, told Mid-day that everyone on this film took a cut, including Janhvi. He said, “They knew what we were trying to do. I said this won’t be feasible if we don’t make it within a certain budget. Janhvi worked for free, and even for her staff, she incurred the expense. All the writers took a cut.”
The star actress who made her Telugu debut with NTR’s Devara is now busy working on Peddi, headlined by Ram Charan.
