CHANDIGARH: The collection of data using drones has been successfully completed across all 15 sectors and five villages of Chandigarh under the NAKSHA project on a pilot basis. The high-resolution data thus collected has been processed to create accurate digital base maps.

Building on this, the administration has advanced towards data validation, integration of ownership records, and generation of urban property cards through field surveys. The ongoing phase emphasises citizen verification, enabling property owners to confirm and update their details through a transparent, digital platform.

Deputy commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav held a meeting with the stakeholders to review the implementation of the NAKSHA project Friday.
