Senior film producer D. Suresh Babu has strongly condemned a recent news report that claimed the Daggubati family was directed to appear in court on January 23, calling the story completely false and misleading. He stated that the report was published in total contradiction to official court records and distorted the actual legal position.
Clarifying the facts, Suresh Babu pointed out that as per the order dated November 14, 2025, the XVII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, clearly recorded that there was no urgency for personal appearance in the case. The court also categorically observed that there was no necessity to issue non-bailable warrants against him or any other accused. The matter was adjourned purely for the purpose of resolving criminal miscellaneous petitions and was posted to January 9, 2026.
He further explained that even on January 9, 2026, the case was again adjourned only for the consideration of criminal miscellaneous petitions and not for personal appearance, as falsely suggested in the media report. Despite such clear judicial records, the publication chose to present a sensational and inaccurate narrative, which, according to him, misled the public and caused serious damage to reputation.
Suresh Babu reiterated that he has been fully cooperating with the legal process at every stage and continues to have complete faith in the judicial system. He also stated that he reserves all legal rights to initiate action against those responsible for spreading false and defamatory information.
Urging the media to act responsibly, Suresh Babu emphasized that journalists must verify official court records before publishing reports that can severely impact the dignity and reputation of individuals. He appealed for ethical and accountable journalism, especially while reporting on sensitive legal matters.
