Hyderabad: Telangana Sports Minister V Srihari felicitated the State squad for their impressive performance at the National Pickleball Championship in Jammu and Kashmir. The team won a gold medal in the 35 years and above mixed doubles category (Sucharitha and Chakrapani), a silver in the under-14 singles (K Vishwa), and a silver in the 60 years and above men’s doubles (Ramesh and Bhaskar). Sucharitha also earned a bronze in the women’s singles (35 years and above) and under-14 doubles (Dhanwanth and Vishwa).
Other medalists include:
35 years and above mixed doubles: Pushyami and Rohit
50 years and above women’s singles: Sonibala Devi
50 years and above mixed doubles: Sonibala Devi and Balaji Murugan
“The sport is gaining popularity, and I hope the State will continue to perform well. With Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extending complete support to promote sports, we look forward to improved performances from our athletes in all disciplines,” the Minister said.
Sports Authority of Telangana Chairman Shiva Sena Reddy, SATG VC & MD Soni Bala Devi, and Telangana Pickleball Association Secretary Jaganmohan Goud were also present.
