Director and actor Tharun Bhascker, known for his sharp storytelling and natural humor, has shared his heartfelt appreciation for the upcoming film Santhana Prapthirasthu. The movie, starring Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary, is produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nivi Hariprasad Reddy under the banners of Madhura Entertainment and Nirvi Arts. Directed by Sanjeev Reddy with screenplay by Sheikh Dawood G, the film is all set for a grand theatrical release on November 14.
Tharun Bhascker plays a unique role in the film — Jack Reddy, a man who runs a funeral services business and holds strong views on caste identity. Speaking about his experience, Tharun said the film exceeded his expectations. “When I was acting in Santhana Prapthirasthu, I had a few doubts. But after watching it, all my doubts vanished. The film turned out really well — it’s fun, emotional, and flows smoothly without ever feeling heavy,” he said.
Tharun compared the film’s wholesome experience to enjoying a comforting Telugu homemade meal. “Watching Santhana Prapthirasthu gave me the same satisfaction as eating a delicious home-cooked meal. It doesn’t drag or get too dramatic — I simply enjoyed it from start to finish,” he added.
Drawing parallels to Ayushmann Khurrana’s style of storytelling in Bollywood, Tharun praised the film’s balance of humor and sensitivity while addressing the social issue of infertility. “It’s a tough subject to handle with both emotion and entertainment, but this team nailed it,” he remarked.
Speaking about his role, he said, “Characters like Jack Reddy exist in real life — they might appear rough on the outside but are soft-hearted inside. The character is so interesting, it could even have its own spin-off.”
Tharun also appreciated director Sanjeev Reddy’s clarity and vision, calling Vikranth a perfect fit for the lead role of Chaitanya. “Every actor delivered powerful performances, and you can see the honest effort of the entire team on screen,” he said.
With Santhana Prapthirasthu promising a mix of humor, emotion, and relatable storytelling, Tharun Bhascker urged audiences not to miss this heartfelt entertainer when it hits theatres on November 14.
