Prabhas’ horror fantasy film The Raja Saab has been struggling in the Hindi belt right from the beginning. The movie directed by Maruthi opened to a poor start, earning just Rs. 6 crores nett despite having a wide release. The movie received poor reviews from Hindi critics and audiences, and failed to show any growth over the weekend.
On the first Monday, the biggie collapsed at the North Indian box office, collecting less than Rs. 2 crores nett. So far, The Raja Saab could earn about Rs. 17 crores nett according to trade reports in Hindi, which is extremely disappointing for a Prabhas starrer.
Ideally, the first weekend number (Rs. 15 crores nett) should have been the opening number for The Raja Saab, but the movie lacked any buzz, with the promotional material failing to connect with the Hindi audiences, resulting in poor performance.
