Why is NTR’s Dragon delayed by a Year?

NTR and Prashanth Neel are teaming up for the first time and the prestigious project is titled Dragon. The shoot has been happening since the past few months and the makers initially announced that the film will hit the screens during June 2026. The film has faced several delays and hit several roadblocks. There are a lot of rumors about the film and the makers issued statements and condemned them several times. The new release date was announced recently and Dragon will release in June 2027 which means that the film is delayed by a year. What is the reason?
Prashanth Neel wanted to present NTR in a completely new light which the audience had never seen before. NTR lost too much weight and his public appearance triggered a negative response. Soon, NTR took his time, gained his muscle and got a new look. This took months and delayed the shoot. At the same time, Prashanth Neel has reworked on some of the portions and he took more time than needed and this delayed the shoot. Some of the episodes were not convincing and NTR wanted to reshoot them and Prashanth Neel also agreed to do the same.
This delayed the shoot further. The Jordan schedule of Dragon has come out extremely well and the makers got all the confidence that is needed. They decided not to hurry and they gave ample time for Prashanth Neel to complete the film. At the same time, Tovino Thomas who was on board as the lead antagonist walked out of the project. The casting for the lead villain was done again. There are so many factors for the film’s delay. Finally, Dragon will hit the screens on June 11th, 2027 in theatres.
