₹215 Cr Case Twist: Jacqueline Fernandez Seeks to Turn Approver

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has approached the Delhi High Court expressing her willingness to turn an approver in the ₹215 crore money laundering case linked to alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
In this high-profile case, the Enforcement Directorate had earlier named Sukesh Chandrasekhar as the prime accused and Jacqueline Fernandez as an accused. Investigators alleged that Sukesh used laundered money to shower the actress with expensive gifts, including luxury handbags, gym wear, diamond earrings, bracelets, and even a Mini Cooper car, collectively valued at around ₹10 crore.
The agency further claimed that Jacqueline accepted money and gifts despite being aware of their alleged illegal origins. Challenging the case against her, the actress had initially moved the Delhi High Court seeking to quash the proceedings. After her plea was dismissed, she approached the Supreme Court with a fresh petition.
Amid ongoing legal proceedings, Jacqueline has now requested permission from the Delhi High Court to turn an approver in the case. However, the court observed that as per procedure, she must first approach the Enforcement Directorate before seeking such relief.
The development adds a new dimension to the ongoing investigation, which continues to draw widespread attention due to the high-profile names involved.
