Recently, the Telangana High Court issued an interim order directing the state government to issue a G.O. at least 90 days before a film’s release if ticket rates are to be enhanced. It is practically impossible to follow this in Tollywood, where the release dates for big films are decided just a few weeks in advance.
Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, has now moved the Supreme Court, challenging the Telangana High Court’s order, and the decision has come in their favour. The highest court in the country stayed the order issued by the TG High Court, meaning Ustaad Bhagat Singh can get ticket price hikes under the existing system itself.
Senior Advocates Mukul Rohatgi and Niranjan Reddy appeared for Mythri Movie Makers. Since the court order is out in favour of the production house, the makers should get the hike order as soon as possible and open the advances. The post Breaking: Ustaad Bhagat Singh to get ticket rate hikes in Telangana as makers move Supreme Court first appeared on Latest Telugu cinema news | Movie reviews | OTT Updates, OTT.
