Vaazha 2 added Rs. 18.35 crore to the tally in its third week, with Rs. 1.35 crore coming on the third Thursday. The coming-of-age comedy drama registered a 57 per cent drop from the previous week. That’s mainly due to the new releases, but the movie managed a good hold.
The running cume of Vaazha 2 stands at Rs. 118.10 crore gross at the Kerala box office by the end of its three weeks. It is about to cross Thudarum’s lifetime cume by EOD on Day 23 (4th Friday), and then it will march towards the lifetime cume of Lokah Chapter One: Chandra to become the highest-grossing movie of Malayalam cinema in Kerala.
Vaazha 2 will surpass Lokah by the end of its fourth weekend, and then it will head towards its final target. If the movie keeps on gaining traction for the next two weeks, it might hit the Rs. 140 crore gross mark by the end of its theatrical run.
