Another significant milestone is on the horizon for Hyderabad’s thriving IT sector with the upcoming launch of the Google for Startups (GfS) Hub. This initiative is the result of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Google and the Government of Telangana.

The Google Hub will be located within T-Hub and is scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on December 9. Through this partnership, T-Hub and Google will work together to accelerate the growth of AI-first startups, develop local talent, and establish direct connections to international markets and capital.

This collaboration is a key step in strengthening Telangana’s startup and digital innovation ecosystem, aligning with the state’s ambitious economic vision of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

Nurturing Talent and Innovation

To support this goal, Google will deploy senior experts in AI/ML, product, UX, and Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies. These experts will lead in-depth sessions for startups, student founders, and developers.

The hub will also offer customized programs specifically for women entrepreneurs, innovators from Tier-2 cities, and university students. The goal is to foster an early innovation mindset among more than 10,000 students each year.

Connecting Startups to Global Opportunities

Through a series of curated programs, the hub will bring in top venture capitalists (VCs) from Silicon Valley, Japan, and Southeast Asia. Corporate innovation leaders from global enterprises and founders of successful AI startups will also be on hand to share their experiences and engage with local ventures.

The hub is designed to be a fertile environment for AI-first startups that are tackling real-world challenges in the climate, health, and education sectors. Special AI-focused bootcamps and innovation days will provide startups with access to Google’s tools, cloud credits, and AI/ML capabilities.

The government projects that by next year, the initiative will help launch over 200 new startups, with 30% of them focused on AI and deep-tech. The partnership is also expected to attract more than ₹50 crore in funding, facilitated through the extensive investor networks of Google and T-Hub.
