Hyderabad’s Municipal Corporation (GHMC), in collaboration with Narsingi Police, launched a significant operation to clear illegal encroachments from footpaths in the Suncity area. The joint effort aimed to restore pedestrian access and improve public spaces.
The crackdown targeted unauthorized stalls and shops that had sprung up on footpaths, causing significant obstruction and inconvenience. GHMC officials, under police supervision, demolished these illegal structures near the Dwaraka Honda showroom and along the Suncity to Chewarla road.
The operation addressed growing concerns about pedestrian safety and accessibility. Residents had been forced to navigate congested and obstructed pathways, impacting both cleanliness and traffic flow.
“These encroachments not only hinder pedestrian movement but also compromise the overall quality of life,” stated a GHMC official. “By working with the police, we are ensuring that footpaths are returned to their intended use, creating a safer and more organized environment for everyone.”
The strong police presence ensured the operation proceeded smoothly, with a focus on maintaining order and preventing disruptions. The authorities emphasized their commitment to ongoing efforts to maintain clear and accessible public spaces throughout the city.
